他的名字取自王家卫电影《重庆森林》中的警察角色，他的作品首先通过社交媒体、在线平台和自行出版的杂志而声名狼藉。
他的日记般的小册子和照片代表了中国社会中一个正在寻求探索生活新界限的新兴群体。通过林志鹏对人物和自然死亡的华丽色彩、花卉、室内装饰和柔和色彩的裸体的描绘，我们看到了一种新的视角。这一代人正在尝试传统中产阶级世界所不熟悉的新奇乐趣。
