In Roganfudoki, Masahito Agake turns his gaze toward mountains, forests, children, villages, quiet interiors, still ponds, and small, easily overlooked objects. Yet these are not simple landscapes or family records. They are fragments of a world suspended between clarity and blur between memory and anticipation.
Drawing from the visual traditions of early Japanese photography, Agake layers his images with softness, shadow, and atmosphere.
