MENELAN GELISAH MALAM
After three years of wrestling and playing with ideas; arranging and pulling things apart on walls and tables; critiquing and nursing quiet hurts; challenging and rebuilding; becoming immersed in conversations, both shared and solitary, that left their mark; and enduring the long, restless years that came before, we are finally able to announce, with a sense of relief, the birth of a publishing project that has taken a different path towards its making.
A sequence of buried memories and images, a long poem that was initially incomplete, has been cut apart and reassembled into something else, something that, to us, feels far more unsettling than if each piece had remained on its own. Menelan Gelisah Malam is a conceptual exploration of photography and poetry, deliberately seeking to dismantle the walls between the two, allowing each to trespass into the other, with intent.
At the end, an essay serves as the full stop. Beyond it lies a preparation for interment.
You are invited to enter a dense and uncomfortable space of thought and feeling.

Setelah tiga tahun bergelumang dan bercanda idea; menyusun-mencabut di dinding dan di meja; mengkritik dan makan hati; menyanggah dan merombak; larut dalam percakapan-percakapan bersama dan bersendiri yang membekas; serta menjalani tahun-tahun gelisah yang panjang sebelumnya, kami dengan lapang dada kini telah mampu untuk mengumumkan kelahiran sebuah projek penerbitan yang mengambil jalan lain untuk dihadirkan.
