Indulge is a black-and-white photographic journey through Hong Kong from 2019 to 2024 — a period shaped by the pandemic, waves of migration, and shifting economies. These images move beyond documentation; they serve as a deeply personal reflection of one’s inner emotions during uncertain times.
Rather than focusing on collective memory, Wong turns his lens toward personal memory — the kind shaped by childhood, dreams, death, and the in-between spaces of reality and illusion. His photos reveal a mysterious quality that feels intimate and timeless. Through photography, Wong offers a vision of Hong Kong that is both broader and truer than reality itself.
The cover image — a lone figure walking toward the exit of a shopping mall — is a quiet metaphor of emerging from darkness and stepping into the future with hope.
《沉溺影像》是攝影師黃卓生（Duncan Wong）於2019至2024年間，以黑白影像記錄轉變中的香港之作。從街頭至城市角落，作品不僅紀錄現實，更是他個人情緒與生命歷程的回應 —— 經歷疫情、移民潮與經濟起伏。
相對於「集體回憶」，他更關注「個人回憶」—— 那些源自童年、夢境、記憶與生死的影像片段，蘊含著一種難以言喻的神秘感。在他眼中，影像的世界介於現實與虛幻之間，讓我們看見一個比現實更廣濶、更真實的香港。
