How to Kill Time While Eating Fortune Cookies on Saturn

MYR 180.00

How to Kill Time While Eating Fortune Cookies on Saturn is an exhibition and publishing project developed as part of FF Seoul’s ongoing Lab Project series, an experimental platform that treats exhibition making itself as an open process of image production, spatial intervention, and collaboration.

Set within FF Seoul’s compact space inside Sewoon Arcade, the project transforms the gallery into a temporary laboratory where installation, sculpture, photography, and publishing continuously feed into one another. Rather than presenting fixed artworks, participating artists Seung Yul Lee, Kim Sang In, and eunjaejoe constructed shifting sculptural environments that were repeatedly photographed, rearranged, and reimagined throughout the exhibition period.

Suspended forms, improvised structures, and drifting objects create an atmosphere that feels both playful and strangely cosmic, as if the exhibition itself exists in a state of orbit. Seung Yul Lee’s monochromatic geometric constructions, Kim Sang In’s intimate visual warmth, and eunjaejoe’s surreal outer-space landscapes coexist without hierarchy, forming a shared visual language built through experimentation and association.

Importantly, the publication does not function merely as documentation of the exhibition. Instead, it extends the project into another autonomous form: a space where installation views, spin-off image sequences, sculptural traces, and newly generated photographic works continue to evolve beyond the physical exhibition itself.

For readers interested in contemporary photography, artist publishing, exhibition making, and experimental image practices, this publication offers a rare insight into how artworks can exist fluidly across mediums. It is both an exhibition archive and an independent object, one that captures the spontaneity, humor, and speculative energy of collaborative art-making.

The fragmented and poetic title, How to Kill Time While Eating Fortune Cookies on Saturn, perfectly reflects the publication’s loose constellation of images, ideas, and imagined worlds. More than a catalogue, this is a publication for those drawn to process-driven practices, unconventional visual narratives, and the possibilities that emerge when artists treat space itself as material.
