There were days when I held on tightly to the camera, letting it see for me, waiting for fleeting images to emerge. Through photographing and developing, I measured the distance between myself and the fading present. Looking back, those instinctive shutter presses feel as natural as breathing or walking—ordinary, yet deeply woven into daily life.
Sometimes, I regret not lifting the camera in certain moments. Perhaps that’s why the photographs always seem lighter than reality. But it is this very lightness that made me hesitate to capture them so freely. In the end, they remain no more than afterimages—fragile impressions suspended between the eye and the lens—at once near, and yet distant from memory.
照片在日常所見與所到之處留下痕跡——
在光抵達的表面、腳步經過的路徑、
在目光曾落下的地方。
當影像一一攤開，生活便從某個暗處的角落浮現。
那是一段緊握相機不肯放的日子，下意識用鏡頭代替眼睛，等待那些不可期的、薄薄的影像出現。任憑自己與即將逝去的日常，透過拍攝與顯影重新衡量距離。
那些放空按下快門的時刻，如今回望，就像呼吸或走路般平凡，卻又深深烙印於日常。偶爾也會為未曾舉起相機記錄的瞬間而感到遺憾，於是影像看來總是比現實輕盈。但也正因為這份「輕」，讓我不敢隨意按下快門。
最後，它們只是眼角與機械交會下的殘影——
既靠近，又同時遠離記憶。
