analog magazine is a Swiss based curated publication for contemporary analogue photography and creative writing.

Focus on works with a poetic narrative, where simple expressionism, minimalism and careful attention to composition are the main drives.  Showcases artists and authors who add layers of meaning to their oeuvres without too many frills.

Analog magazine aim is to promote the work of talented people as well as to act as a source of inspiration for other creative minds.

"Our freshly redesigned Issue #10 is a high-quality and collectable coffee-table book that immerses you in the world of contemporary analogue photography with seven exciting photo series and three essays about the current state of photography.

To commemorate the publication of our 10th number, we embarked on the task of redesigning the magazine, and the result is a more contemporary look that preserves our original clean and minimal appearance. We also increased the size of the magazine for a better appreciation of the images without hindering the idea of an intimate and portable publication, and the paper is now uncoated to reflect the grainy feel of film photography.

In this occasion we present a portfolio selection by Rafal Krol from Poland, “Aeronautics in the Backyard” by Xiaoxiao Xu from China, “The City is a Choreography” by Melissa Schriek from The Netherlands, a portfolio selection by Hannes Caspar from Germany, a portfolio selection by Juho Vesanen from Finland, “Vessels” by Bryan Schutmaat from the US, and a photo diary by Arturo & Bamboo from The Netherlands.

This number also presents three interesting essays about the current state of photography written by Danaé Panchaud, director of the Photoforum Pasquart, Switzerland, Harri Laakso, Professor at Aalto University, Finland, and Marco Poloni Professor at ECAL, Lausanne."
