AFTER DARK drifts through the city’s alleys, walkways, and hidden corners places where decades of longing, memory, and desire seem to settle in the air. Shot entirely at night, the work lingers in spaces where solitude, danger, and unexpected beauty coexist.
Inside these dim passages, the air pulses with a quiet thrill. Walking alone, one becomes both observer and participant, alert, introspective, and strangely exhilarated. In the emptiness of darkness, shadows intertwine, and a single unexpected encounter has the power to shift an entire life’s direction.
The photographer steps into the role of the passerby, studying silhouettes, gestures, and traces of movement, imagining the stories that have shaped them and the ones still waiting to unfold.
AFTER DARK invites readers into this intimate nocturnal world, an exploration of stillness, tension, imagination, and the fragile hope that flickers even in the darkest streets.

在那些傾斜、踟躕的角落裡，
彷彿堆積著幾十年的情與欲。
走在裡面，空氣彷彿瀰漫著略帶悸動的刺激，
伴隨著隨時降臨的危險。
一個人走著走著，孤獨却帶點亢奮。
此外，那空寂的黑暗裡，
人與影子一路清晰地糾纏起，
一個即將改變人生的出現，
訴說了寬廣。
空氣中不期然散發著希望。
而我，卻代入了那路人的角色，
觀察著他的衣著與步伐，
幻想著他過去與未來發生的情事…
「走著！」

Hung Man Po is a visual artist and designer whose work draws profound inspiration from the vibrant fabric of the communities around him. Through his creative journey, he has come to see the inseparable connection between artists and the places and people they live among.
His projects reflect this devotion. Listening, Hong Kong tenderly documents the stories of disappearing brands across the city. Age of Wonders offers a captivating exploration of Sham Shui Po, revealing the textures and rhythms of everyday life. Omi Cities traces the influences of both Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, mapping identity across two urban landscapes.
Across his works, Hung Man Po’s deep affection for the Hong Kong community shines through, capturing not just places, but the spirit that binds them.
