Signed exhibition edition prints from Api Husien's debut exhibition 'Mencari Rumah Untuk Pulang' ('Wandering for a Home')!
'Mencari Rumah Untuk Pulang' ('Wandering for a Home') is a personal project by interdisciplinary Api Husien that touches on the themes of belonging and searching for oneself. It's a project that doesn't restrict itself to one form and has evolved over the years, from poetry, to performances, installations, and photography.
In 2016, Api published a series of poems ('Mencarimu') that revolved around his spiritual quests. This drove him to continue asking and searching, whether for God, himself, or something that he wasn’t looking for, but discovered in the process.
As there is life, there is death. Both are manifestations of God. He became intimately familiar with death in order to validate that he was still alive.
These framed and signed prints were exclusively produced for Api's solo exhibition (13 - 29 August 2023) held at Zontiga .
