analog magazine Issue #9 is a collectable coffee-table book exploring outstanding works in contemporary analogue photography.

This number of analog magazine brings you seven great photographic series and a gripping short-fiction story.

We open this issue with “A Spectacle and Nothing Strange” by Ahndraya Parlato from the US, a long-term personal project that question the boundaries of the normal and the abnormal. Next is a series of beautiful Polaroid portraits made by talented Santo Longhitano from Italy-Germany. Spencer Murphy from the UK brings us “Tierra Utopia”, a project that documents life in a collectivist community in Spain. “The Cracker” is presented by Laura Pannack from London, a fantastic pice of work about adolescence and coming of age in the UK. Alexander Ómarsson from Iceland presents his portfolio of Icelandic takes, a series of B&W fine art images that enlighten the beauty of this country. From Italy, Vincenzo Pagliuca brings us “mónos”, an architectural portrait of isolated houses in the Southern Apennines. Finally, Mei Sa Guo from China exhibits “Turning Mountains”, a work about the Tibetan ritual to turn around a mountain as an act of pilgrimage.

Complementing this number is the short-fiction “Fugato” by Rebekah Frumkin from the US. A literary piece that dwells over psychiatrists and delusions with an unexpected twist.
