As the war in Ukraine goes on, photographer Oleksandr Glyadelov continues his photographic series War.

He follows Ukrainian troops and is usually one of the first civilians who arrives after the liberation of a city or village to record the atrocities of the Russian army, the destruction that it brings, and people who, in spite of everything, are full of hope, kind and sympathetic. His path runs along broken roads and across destroyed bridges.

The liberated settlements he went to include Balakleya, Izyum, Velyka and Mala Komyshuvakha, and Staryi Saltiv. -------- In this volume Oleksandr Glyadelov’s journey through the battlefields brings him to Eastern Ukraine where the offensive operation of Ukrainian troops succeeded in pushing back its rival.

He attended the exhumation of bodies in Izyum that uncovered a shocking truth about the suffering and boundless sacrifices caused by Russians. Glyadelov photographed broken Russian equipment in the fields and in the middle of once-crowded towns.

The blown-up bridge and the school in Staryi Saltiv on the banks of the Pechenezh reservoir. The library and Russian hospital set up in the church in Mala Komyshuvakha.
